Empowering future financial leaders through valuation modeling, workshops, and exclusive industry networking.
BBE Finance Club is a student-led finance organization at WU Vienna, bringing together highly motivated students passionate about finance.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world finance through hands-on projects, department work and industry collaborations.
Members join one of three departments, meet through the semester, and finish with work they can show: a valuation pitch, a portfolio case or a research.
Hands-on tracks focused on valuation, research, transactions, and analytics.
Asset management is the business of managing money on behalf of clients with the goal of growing it while controlling risk.
An asset manager might manage money for pension funds, insurance companies, governments, wealthy individuals, or everyday investors through mutual funds and ETFs.
At this department members conduct market research, build virtual portfolios, implement diversification, explore risk management and analyse the macroeconomic background.
Semester work is structured around learning sessions, case studies and semester researches.
Equity valuation is about studying the company’s business model, industry, competitors, financial statements, growth prospects, management, risks, and future earnings. The goal is to understand whether the company is financially strong and how its performance may develop.
Members work on company research and build valuation skills. Topics include DCF, CCA, M&A and LBO, and sessions are workshop-style with interactive case studies.
Every semester culminates in a full valuation pitch, most recently presented to KPMG.
